Purdue Chapter of Triangle Fraternity

Purdue Triangle was founded in 1909 as the second chapter of Triangle Fraternity and, for more than 100 years, has been a leading fraternity on the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette, IN.
Our Chapter House features a prime location on the Purdue West Lafayette campus at 103 N University Street and allows short walking distances to most classes – faster than from most university dorms! The House was built in 1963, with an addition added in 1968, another significant addition added in the 1990' s and underwent significant updates for both exterior and interior spaces during the 2023 “Summer Refresh” project. The House has a live-in capacity of 72 Brothers and features a private parking lot.

Triangle Fraternity - National Organization
Triangle is the only men's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) college fraternity experience, open exclusively to engineering , science, and architecture students. We provide a social experience with a focus on academic success and professional career preparation.
Triangle Fraternity was founded in 1907 by 16 civil engineering juniors at the University of Illinois who desired to extend their friendship, not only through college, but also for life. These Founders based their organization on the principles of honor, friendship, character, brotherhood, and courage. From the beginning, Triangle is a fraternity where men of similar majors could socialize, support each other’s academic pursuits and better prepare for successful careers.
Since our founding, we have expanded nationwide and broadened our membership to include men pursuing STEM and Architecture degrees – essentially becoming a STEM fraternity experience before the acronym was even created. We remain dedicated to supporting our members socially, academically and professionally. Today, we have more than 30,000 initiated Brothers with 34 Active Chapters in 25 states.
Leadership Development
Triangle Fraternity is a values-based membership development organization that focuses on building brotherhood through character enhancement, leadership development, academic achievement, commitment to service, and lifelong friendships.
