Grand Prix 2025 Weekend – Saturday, April 26th, 2025

The 68th Purdue Grand Prix Race will be held Saturday, April 26th, 2025. Seniors Andrew Morin and Randall Hubbell II have been busy, competing in several races this year to sharpen their driving skills. With their dedication and team commitment, Triangle Racing is a top contender this season!  Our dual kart team will be working over the winter to bring an even faster racing package for this season! We'll see you at the race this spring.

Philanthropy

The house regularly supports various philanthropic efforts.  Sam Casas led the efforts for the brothers.  In the fall of 2024 they did a fund raiser for RAINN and in February they did a fund raiser for Habitat for Humanity.  Pictured are Ethan Reed, Arnav Aggarwal and Ethan Parsley as they brave the cold to sell hot cocoa and cookies to raise money for Habitat for Humanity.

Actives - Alumni Mentor Contacts

One of Purdue Triangle’s greatest assets is our alumni network – 1700 Alumni – most with amazing careers in world-leading companies.  Active members of the Chapter are able to network with Alumni who have shared similar experiences while at Purdue and as members of Triangle - Alumni who have lived the Vision and Mission of Triangle and have had success in their lives and in their careers.

The Chapter has established a “Big Brother” program that connects current Chapter Actives with one or two Alumni to help mentor on all aspects of campus and professional life.  The time commitment can be a few hours a month or a few hours a semester, but the value for the Actives can be huge.  Nate Kerr, a recent graduate is leading the effort and helps to coordinate between interested Actives and willing Alumni.  Learn more by emailing Nate at vicepresident@purduetriangle.com .

Purdue University Chapter Advisor for Triangle

gerhard klimeck.png

Purdue Triangle is very fortunate to have a world-renowned expert in the field of nanoelectronic devices – Dr. Gerhard Klimeck – who is the Elmore Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University and leads two research centers in Purdue's Discovery Park.

He helped to create nanoHUB.org, which now serves over 2 million users globally. Additionally, he was recently appointed to the newly created role of Deputy Chief Information Officer, reporting to Purdue’s CIO, and will lead the Purdue Academic IT Faculty Support team.

His research interest is the modeling of nanoelectronic devices, genetic algorithm-based optimization, image processing, and user-behavior analytics. NEMO, the nanoelectronic modeling software built in his research group, established the state-of-the-art in atomistic quantum transport modeling. NEMO is now being used at Intel for advanced transistor designs and commercialized. He has published over 530 printed scientific articles.

Gerhard is a fellow of the Institute of Physics (IOP), the American Physical Society (APS), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). In 2020, he was elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

He previously worked with Texas Instruments and NASA/JPL/Caltech.  See link on the Purdue University Engineering website for more details: Klimeck Bio
